Jeffrey DuBowy was appointed as Trustee by the Board of Trustees in June 2015, following his 15 years of community service in South Orange.
Jeff and his wife Helen have lived in South Orange since 1992. They have three children who have attended the South Orange/Maplewood school district, including two daughters who graduated from Columbia High School.
He served on the South Orange Parking Authority for 13 years as Commissioner, holding the positions of Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and Chairman. Jeff served on South Orange Special Improvement District and Redevelopment committees, as Main Street South Orange’s Treasurer, as Vice President of The Village Club, and on the Board of Trustees of the Youth Orchestra of Essex County.
In 2006, Jeff was a catalyst for the ballot initiative to elect and form a Joint Municipal Consolidation Study Commission with Maplewood, under New Jersey’s Municipal Consolidation Act.
His professional background is in finance and accounting. Jeff was a principal in a derivative trading group based at the American Stock Exchange - recruiting, training, and supervising market makers to trade firm capital.
Jeff has held various positions in accounting, software programming, consulting, and entrepreneurial business ventures.
He attended Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Business, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
