Two Towns Triathlon for Kids September 8, 2018

The 5th annual Two Towns Triathlon for Kids ages 7-14 will be held Saturday, September 8th.

This event was postponed from the originally scheduled date of June 16th.The Kids Triathlon is sponsored by the South Orange and Maplewood Departments of Recreation & Cultural Affairs. Entrants MUST be residents of South Orange or Maplewood between the ages of 7 and 14. Registration must be done in person at the Baird in South Orange. The fee is $30. Space is limited to 60 athletes in each age group.

The 2018 Two Towns Triathlon will be held in South Orange starting at the Community Pool and finishing in Meadowland Park. Participants will swim laps, bike through local neighborhoods, and will finish the race running through Meadowland Park. Racers will be timed from beginning to end of the triathlon. Split times will not be recorded. Bronze participation medals will be awarded. Gold and Silver medals will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place for boys and girls in each age group. Participants must provide their own bicycle and CPSC certified bike helmet. Swim cap that is provided must be worn during the swim.
