Burglary to Auto

A Mercer Pl. resident reported that sometime between 2:00 & 6:00 am on Sunday, 2-18-18, actor(s) unknown entered his auto, rummaged through the interior & removed some cash. Nothing else is missing at this time & the auto was not damaged in the incident.

Burglary

An Irvington Ave business owner reported that sometime between 11:00 am, Thursday, 2-15-18 & 11:30 am, Friday, 2-16-18 unknown actor(s) pried open a rear door, entered the business and removed various pieces of furniture, valued at

approximately $7000.00.  The Detective Bureau responded to process the scene & is investigating the incident.

Two SHU students reported that sometime between 10:32 & 10:52 am on Friday, 2-16-18 actor(s) unknown entered one of the student's vehicles while it was parked on So. Orange Ave near Montrose St and stole each of their book bags, which were visibly

A Fairview Ave resident reported that sometime between 12:15 & 4:00 pm on Thursday, 2-15-18 actor(s) unknown forced open a rear door and burglarized her residence. Multiple rooms were ransacked & it is unknown exactly what is missing at this time.

The Detective Bureau responded to process the scene & is investigating the incident.

Adult Arrest - Shoplifting

Marquise Warren, a 27 year old South Orange resident was arrested on Thursday, 2-15-18 at approximately 3:00 pm for shoplifting, CDS paraphernalia & active warrants. Officers were flagged down by an employee of Morgan's Liquors, who was in pursuit

Burglary

Officers responded to an active commercial burglar alarm to a business on So. Orange Ave on Wednesday, 2-14-18 at approximately 4:11 am. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to the front door and broken glass on the ground & on the floor inside the

store.  Officers searched the area, as well as the interior of the business, but the actor(s) could not be located.  Detectives responded to process the scene and is investigating the incident.

A gas attendant at the Delta Station on Irvington Ave reported on Monday, 2-12-18 at approximately 6:20 pm, an unknown actor (described as a black female) filled $30.00 worth of gas into her large SUV and drove off without paying. The first 2 characters

on the license plate are "PJ".  No further description is available.

Adult Arrest - CDS

Jakia Wright-Daniels, a 36 year old Pennsylvania resident was arrested on Thursday, 2-8-18 for possession of CDS (marijuana). Officers stopped a blue Acura for a motor vehicle violation on Sloan St. During the traffic stop, officers determined that the

driver of the vehicle (Wright-Daniels) was in possession of marijuana.  Officer arrested Wright-Daniels without further incident and transported her to headquarters where she was processed accordingly.

An employee of Morgan's Liquors on Irvington Ave reported on Wednesday, 2-7-18 at approximately 5:50 pm that an unknown actor (described as an unshaven black male, about 6'0" & 200 lbs, wearing a back coat & maroon hoodie) hid a one liter bottle of

E&J Brandy under his coat & leave the store without paying.  The detective bureau is investigating the incident.

Torre Garrett, a 40 year old Newark resident was arrested on Wednesday, 2-7-18 at approximately 3:40 pm for shoplifting. Officers responded to the Rite Aid on a call for a shoplifter who was being chased by the store's security manager. Officers located
