Warrant Arrest

Bashir Wilson, a 37 year old Newark resident was arrested on Wednesday, 12-13-18 at approximately 2:45 pm for an outstanding arrest warrant out of So. Orange. Detectives responded to Wilson's address in Newark to serve the warrant and arrested him

without incident.  Officers responded to the scene & transported Wilson to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.

Burglary to Auto

An Academy St. resident reported that on Sunday, 12-9-18 at approximately 11:05 pm, a home surveillance security camera captured footage of an unknown actor rummaging through his vehicle & removing a red bag, which contained a designer hat & shirt.

The actor, described as a male, wearing a winter jacket & boots then fled west on Massel Terrace.  The video was turned over to the detective bureau.

Theft of Auto

A Wyckoff, NJ resident reported that on Sunday, 12-9-18 at approximately 1:50 pm actor(s) unknown stole his vehicle (2017 BMW) while he was visiting family on Harding Dr. The victim's son stated he saw the vehicle drive off northbound on Harding Dr.

but could not see the actor involved.  Inside the vehicle was a piece of luggage & a purse which contained several electronic devices (iPad, iPhone, Kindle), cash, a check book, identification & multiple credit cards.

Burglary to Autos

A Tillou Rd resident reported that on Saturday, 12-8-18 at approximately 8:25 pm, he observed an unknown actor rummaging inside his vehicle, which was parked in his driveway. When confronted, the actor fled the scene & ran west on Tillou Rd.

Adult Arrest - Theft of Packages

Justin Armstrong, a 27 year old Newark resident was arrested on Friday, 12-07-18 at approximately 3:55 pm for theft. Detectives spotted & stopped Armstrong, whom they had identified as a suspect from a package theft that had occurred & been reported

Burglary

A Kilburn Pl. resident reported that sometime between 11:30 am & 5:50 pm, Saturday 12-01-18, unknown(s) actors entered his residence & moved a landscaping tool from the attached garage into the kitchen It was unknown at the time if the actor(s) stole

anything else from the residence.  It appeared the actor(s) gained entry by breaking a rear window.  The Detective Bureau responded to process the scene & are investigating the incident.
