From the Garden State Parkway South
To exit 145 to Route 280 West. Follow “280 West” directions below.

New Jersey Turnpike South
To exit 15W to Route 280 West. Follow “280 West” directions below.

280 West
To exit 10. Take first left at traffic light onto Northfield Avenue. Proceed three traffic lights to Gregory Avenue. Make a left onto Gregory Avenue. Gregory Avenue turns into Wyoming Avenue in South Orange and ends at South Orange Avenue. Turn left onto South Orange Avenue. As you near the bottom of the hill, there is a traffic light at the intersection of Ridgewood Road. Turn left onto North Ridgewood. Make your first right turn onto Mead Street. You will see the Duck Pond and baseball field on your right and tennis courts and the Baird Center are on the left. Immediately after you pass the tennis courts there is an entrance to the parking lot for the Baird Center.

280 East
To exit at Mount Pleasant Avenue. Make a right onto Mt. Pleasant Ave. and go to the first traffic light. Make a left onto Gregory Avenue. Gregory Avenue turns into Wyoming Avenue in South Orange and ends at South Orange Avenue. Turn left onto South Orange Avenue. As you near the bottom of the hill, there is a traffic light at the intersection of Ridgewood Road. Turn left onto North Ridgewood. Make your first right turn onto Mead Street. You will see the Duck Pond and baseball field on your right and tennis courts and the Baird Center are on the left. Immediately after you pass the tennis courts there is an entrance to the parking lot for the Baird Center.

Garden State Parkway North
To exit 142 (stay at the extreme right at the toll booth prior to the exit). Take Route 78 East to the first exit (54) which allows you to make a U-Turn and get on Route 78 West. Follow the 78 West directions below.

78 West
To exit 50B. Proceed onto Vauxhall Road and go three traffic lights to intersection with Valley Street (town houses on corner). Turn right onto Valley Street. Continue on Valley Street through Maplewood, into South Orange to the intersection of South Orange Avenue. Go through this intersection and make the first left hand turn after you cross over South Orange Ave. onto Taylor Place. Turn right at the stop sign onto Vose Avenue. Turn left onto Mead Street. Just beyond the railroad tressel you will see the Baird Center on the right.. The parking lot entrance is just beyond the basketball courts.

78 East
To exit 49B- Maplewood Exit. Follow the signs to Valley Street jughandle (approximately 3/10 mile once you are off the exit ramp and onto Springfield Avenue). Make right onto jughandle (to effectively make a left hand turn onto Valley Street). Continue on Valley Street through Maplewood, into South Orange to the intersection of South Orange Avenue. Go through this intersection and make the first left hand turn after you cross over South Orange Ave. onto Taylor Place. Turn right at the stop sign onto Vose Avenue. Turn left onto Mead Street. Just beyond the railroad tressel you will see the Baird Center on the right.. The parking lot entrance is just beyond the basketball courts.

NJ TRANSIT "MIDTOWN DIRECT" FROM PENN STATION TO SOUTH ORANGE STATION
approx. 30-40 minute ride, no transfers.
From other locations in New Jersey, follow same directions for NJ Transit.
Take the Morris and Essex (MNE) Line, Gladstone Branch to South Orange train station.

To walk from the train station to The Baird housing the Pierro Gallery and other venues:
It is approximately a seven minute walk.

Leaving the train station building, turn left and walk half block to South Orange Avenue. Cross over South Orange Avenue (at Eden Gourmet). Turn left, walking under the train trestle, go approximately two blocks to the Village Auto Center. Make a right on the paved path. This will bring you into Meadowland park (you will see tennis courts and the pool.) Continue to the end of this path, you will see The Baird Center diagonally across to your right.

From the west via Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue
Columbia Turnpike becomes So. Orange Ave. Stay on So. Orange Ave. for about 10 miles. After going through the S-Turns in South Mountain Reservation, you will come down the hill toward to business district of So. Orange. Before entering the business district, there is a traffic light at the intersection of Ridgewood Road and South Orange Avenue. Turn left. The school is on your right. (Turn right into the driveway AFTER the school and park around the back. Gym is in the back of building.)

From the west via Routes 80 and 280 -
Exit at Northfield (Mt. Pleasant Ave.). Go up hill to 1st light. Turn left at light onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.) and continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left onto So. Orange Ave. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Ridgewood Road. The school is on your right. (Turn right into the driveway AFTER the school and park around the back. Gym is in the back of building.)

From the east via Route 280
Exit at #10 (Montclair/South Orange). Go left at top of ramp. Proceed to 3rd traffic light and turn left onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.). Continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Ridgewood Road. The school is on your right. (Turn right into the driveway AFTER the school and park around the back. Gym is in the back of building.)

From the west via Route 78 and Route 24
Stay in local lanes and exit at #49B (Maplewood) onto Springfield Avenue. Watch for sign on your right "Valley St. next right" (3rd right and less than 1/4 mile from exit). Make jug handle onto Valley St. Stay on Valley street through Maplewood into South Orange (about 1-2 miles). Turn left at the intersection of South Orange Avenue (PNC Bank building on the near right corner, Tudor Municipal Building on far right corner of this intersection). Take South Orange Avenue under train tracks. When you start back up the hill, turn right at the light onto Ridgewood Road North. South Orange Middle School is on your right. The driveway is AFTER you pass the school. Park in the back of the school. Gym entrance on the right side of the building.

CAMERON FIELD      (About)
Cameron Field is across the street from The Baird Community Center. Follow Directions above to The Baird.

CHYZOWYCH FIELD     (About)
The entrance to Chyzowych Field is located on West Parket Avenue in Maplewood.

From the Garden State Parkway (north or south)
Exit at #142 to Route 78 West, keep right on local lanes. Exit at #50B (Springfield/Millburn), turn right at light off exit ramp onto Vauxhall Road to the 3rd light (Valley St.). Turn right onto Valley St. and continue for 5 lights (1 1/2 miles) to intersection of Parker Ave. and Valley St. Turn left onto West Parker Avenue. The driveway for the field is on the RIGHT just after the train trestle. Turn right at the sign.

From the west via Route 78 and Route 24
Stay in local lanes and exit at #49B (Maplewood) onto Springfield Avenue. Watch for sign on your right "Valley St. next right" (3rd right and less than 1/4 mile from exit). Make jug handle onto Valley St. and continue for 6 lights to intersection of Parker Ave. and Valley St. Turn left onto West Parker Avenue. The driveway for the field is on the RIGHT just after the train trestle. Turn right at the sign.

From the west via Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue
Columbia Turnpike becomes So. Orange Ave. Stay on So. Orange Ave. for 10 miles to business district of So. Orange. Go under railroad bridge to 3rd light (lights are close together) to Valley St. Turn right onto Valley St. to 2nd light (1 mile) to intersection of Parker Ave. and Valley St. Turn right onto West Parker Avenue. The driveway for the field is on the RIGHT just after the train trestle. Turn right at the sign.

From the west via Routes 80 and 280
Exit at Northfield (Mt. Pleasant Ave.). Go up hill to 1st light. Turn left at light onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.) and continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left onto So. Orange Ave. Proceed as from "Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue" directions above, beginning at "Go under railroad bridge."

From the east via Route 280
Exit at #10 (Montclair/South Orange). Go left at top of ramp. Proceed to 3rd traffic light and turn left onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.). Continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left onto So. Orange Ave. Proceed as from "Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue" directions above, beginning at "Go under railroad bridge."

FLOODS HILL     (About)
Floods Hill is adjacent to Meadowland Park and The Baird Community Center. Follow Directions above to The Baird.

NEW WATERLANDS PARK     (About)

The entrance to New Waterlands Park is located on Third Street in South Orange.

From the Garden State Parkway (north or south)
Exit at #142 to Route 78 West (Coming from the South, take 78 East for 1/2 mile and take U-turn to 78 West), keep right on local lanes. Exit at #50B (Springfield/Millburn), turn right at light off exit ramp onto Vauxhall Road to the 3rd light (Valley St.). Turn right onto Valley St. and continue for 6 lights (about 2 miles) to intersection of Third Street. Turn left onto Third Street. Go under the train trestle. The entrance to New Waterlands will be on your left just beyond Gaslight Commons.

From the west via Route 78 and Route 24
Stay in local lanes and exit at #49B (Maplewood) onto Springfield Avenue. Watch for sign on your right "Valley St. next right" (3rd right and less than 1/4 mile from exit). Make jug handle onto Valley St. and continue for 7 lights to intersection of Third Street and Valley St. Turn left onto Third Street. Go under the train trestle. The entrance to New Waterlands will be on your left just beyond Gaslight Commons.

From the west via Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue
Columbia Turnpike becomes So. Orange Ave. Before entering the business district of South Orange, there is a light at the intersections of South Orange Avenue and Ridgewood Road. Make a RIGHT onto South Ridgewood Rd. Proceed and make first LEFT onto Third Street. The sign and driveway for the park are just before the apartment building on the RIGHT.

From the west via Routes 80 and 280
Exit at Northfield (Mt. Pleasant Ave.). Go up hill to 1st light. Turn left at light onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.) and continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left onto So. Orange Ave. Proceed as from "Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue" directions above.

From the east via Route 280
Exit at #10 (Montclair/South Orange). Go left at top of ramp. Proceed to 3rd traffic light and turn left onto Gregory Ave. (which becomes Wyoming Ave.). Continue to end at So. Orange Ave. Turn left onto So. Orange Ave. Proceed as from "Columbia Turnpike/South Orange Avenue" directions above.
