A variety of sports and fitness activities are available throughout the year for community residents, young and old. Below is a seasonal sampling of the programs offered by the South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs:
Spring – Baseball leagues for children ages 5-15, adult softball leagues, tennis instruction, track & field, soccer leagues, tae kwon do
Summer – Playground camp programs, sports camps, swimming lessons and teams, recreational swimming at the community pool, tennis instruction, travel baseball teams for ages 8-15.
Fall – Soccer training, clinics and leagues for children and pick-up soccer for adults, tennis instruction, outdoor basketball clinics and team play, fall baseball clinics and training at our indoor batting cages, adult softball leagues, platform tennis, tae kwon do
Winter – Indoor basketball clinics, leagues and travel teams, platform tennis, batting practice/training at our indoor batting cages, skiing instruction, indoor lacrosse clinics, indoor soccer (children and adult), indoor track, pee wee tennis, tae kwon do
