The Village of South Orange is seeking a manager for its community pool for the summer of 2010. Candidates must hold a current recognized CPO and have a minimum of 3 years waterfront experience, knowledge of public bathing codes and knowledge of filtration systems.

Job duties include recruit, interview and recommend for hire staff of over 50, including W.S.I., swim team, lifeguards, maintenance and reception personell (more complete job description attached). Duration of position is May through Labor Day, 40 hours per week schedule, 6 days. Salary commensurate with experience.

The Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs hires Camp Counselors each year for its Summer Camp Program (complete job description attached above). This program is a 7 week, half day program for South Orange children ages 4 through grade 8. The program begins in late June and ends in mid-August. (Program details are available at www.thebaird.org). Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, attend pre-camp counselor training and be available for the entire 7 weeks of the program.
