Trustee Michael Goldberg was elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2007 and re-elected in May 2009. He has lived in the Village since 1998 with his wife Amy and his daughter, Stephanie, who is a student in the public school district.
Trustee Goldberg has a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from New York University, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute. His professional experience includes account management, project management and business systems consulting for companies such as KPMG, American Management Systems and Microsoft. He is currently an Engagement Manager for a consulting firm that focuses on strategy and design for Enterprise web portals.
Trustee Goldberg has volunteered extensively in and for the Village on the South Orange/Maplewood Shared Services and Consolidation Study Commission; as Founder and Treasurer of the Villagers for a Better South Orange; as Initiator of the No Taxes for Tau movement; and as Co-founder and Treasurer of the Coalition to Preserve South Orange.
Trustee Goldberg’s current committee assignments include Chair of the Public Safety Committee and member of the Public Works and Planning/Zoning Committees. He has also participated in the SID Advisory Committee and as liaison to Main Street, Citizens Public Safety Committee and First Night.
