**On January 2,2002 the lines of the New Jersey
State Legislative districts
were changed because of a state required redistricting every 10 years
following the U.S. Census Bureau count. The Township of South Orange Village
was changed from the 28th to the 27th State Legislative District and as a
result the following changes took effect:
Senator Ronald Rice and Assemblyman Craig Stanley now represent
the NEW
28th State Legislative District and Assemblyman Wilfredo Caraballo represents
the 29th State Legislative District. Senator Codey,
Assemblyman Hackett and Assemblyman McKeon are the current legislators for
the 27th State Legislative District.
