WAITING LISTS INFORMATION

Update (1/04/10): Even though the Resident Commuter Lot 7 [and other commuter parking areas are] full,  resident commuter permits still are available on a “First Come First Served” basis at the Our Lady of Sorrows lot on Academy and Fourth Streets, near the South Orange train station, and at the Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel lot on Scotland Road, near Mountain train station, at the same rate as the Resident Commuter permits. Please contact the Parking Authority office for further information.

There are waiting lists for all commuter permits. All the waiting lists are open and available to get on. The NJ Transit and Mountain Station waiting lists are open to the general public. The Resident Commuter list is only open to South Orange Residents.
Please be advised that the waiting time for NJ Transit and Resident Commuters is approximately five years. The Mountain Station waiting time is approximately two years. We periodically review the lists and purge names that are no longer valid.
