Poison hemlock is a recurring concern in our parks, and has been identified at the banks of the waterway in Meadowland Park and by the community garden. People should avoid contact with this plant as it may cause a rash. It can also be lethal if ingested by humans or animals.
DPW will mow down any known poison hemlock areas to help residents and their pets avoid contact. For more information and photos please visit the US Department of Agriculture website.
