NJ Transit

Village President Sheena Collum and Mayor Victor De Luca send a joint letter to Governor Murphy, NJ DOT Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccett and NJ Transit Executive Director Kevin S. Corbett regarding NJ Transit cancellations and delays.

Following the cancellations and delays experienced by NJ Transit customers over the past several weeks, the South Orange Board of Trustees and Maplewood Township Committee launched a 3-day NJ Transit commuter survey beginning on August 5. A total of 960 resident commuters provided feedback regarding their experiences during the month of July 2018. Village President Sheena Collum and Maplewood Mayor Victor De Luca sent a letter highlighting the survey results and requested immediate actions be taken to mitigate this summer's challenges and make the commute more tolerable to affected parties.  The letter to Governor Murphy, NJ Department of Transportation Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccett and NJ Transit Executive Director Kevin S. Corbett can be found in link below along with survey responses that were collected.
