Annual Hydrant Flushing Notice

Hydrant Flushing

Planned Hydrant Flushing

This is an important notification that New Jersey American Water crews will begin routine flushing of the water distribution system in your area starting June 20 at 9:00pm through July 9. The flushing will start in the northwest portion of the Village and will work to the southeastern portion.

When crews are working in your area, you may notice reduced pressure or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water taps only, at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes until the water runs clear. If discolored water occurs, please also refrain from doing laundry during that time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding while we undertake this necessary maintenance of the water system to ensure that you continue to receive high-quality water service and that allows us to test and maintain fire hydrants.

For more information, please call 1.855.722.7072.
