Post-Tropical Storm Ida Recycling Update

South Orange Recycling Facility Reopens October 9

The South Orange Recycling Facility reopens on Saturday October 9th and will again be accepting recyclable materials and yard debris. Please note: 

  • No commercial vehicles, Ida storm-related debris, household bulk items, or construction debris will be accepted.
  • The October 9 paper shredding event will now happen at the 300 Walton Avenue facility. 
  • Mulch and humus are not available at this time.
  • DPW will continue to circulate throughout South Orange picking up yard debris left at the curb.

Facility Hours:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30am-4pm
Saturdays 8am-12pm (Noon)
