2020 Census - Last Chance

The deadline to respond to the 2020 Census is September 30, 2020. The goal remains to achieve a Complete Count by counting everyone once -- only once -- and in the right place. Please make sure you count yourself at the address where you live and sleep most of the time before the end of the month.
There's even assistance in 13 different languages! You can participate in the Census by going to https://my2020census.gov/ or by clicking the graphic to the left.

Hazardous Waste Collection

Thursday, Oct 1 through Saturday, Oct 3 , Essex County Public Works is hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection event at 99 W. Bradford Ave, Cedar Grove. All Essex County residents are welcome with proof of address. Please refer to the event flyer for additional info, time schedules and lists of acceptable and unacceptable items.

Outdoor Repair Cafe

We are thrilled to be able to offer a limited, outdoor Repair Cafe. This will be a different set up and much smaller than our usual events, but still in the spirit of community and fixing beloved items.
Repair Cafe will be held Saturday, October 3, 2-4pm by appointment only. If you have an item you want repaired, please call (973)-558-0863 or email SOMA2towns@gmail.com with a brief description of what you need fixed. We will match you up with one of our repair volunteers and give you a time slot and details where to go. Social distancing and sanitizing protocols will be in place.

Coffee Talk Moves to Tuesdays- Join senior adult Social Worker, Carol Berman, and other SOMA seniors Tuesdays at 4pm to chat, share and survive this pandemic together by connecting each Tuesday. Bring your favorite hot beverage and tell your friends - Will begin September 29 at 4pm!
