Dear Community Seniors:
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inform you of a new COVID vaccination for homebound residents. In an effort to provide protection to our vulnerable residents, Essex County, in conjunction with RWJ Barnabas Health is looking to provide the COVID-19 vaccination directly to homebound residents in Maplewood. Homebound is being defined as anyone who is immobile, homebound due to illness, would have difficulty being transported to a vaccination clinic and are not receiving direct medical care at a long term care facility, skilled nursing facility, etc. If:
1. You fall under this category, or
2. You are the caregiver of someone who is homebound, or
3. You have a neighbor or friend who will not have seen this community notification but would benefit from this vaccination service because they are homebound
Maplewood residents - please contact the Maplewood Public Health Division at (973) 762-8120 and provide name, phone number and address.
South Orange residents, call Cathy Rowe at (973) 558-0863 or SOMA2towns@gmail.com
