SOPL Celebrates Pride

Movie Night- June 24th, 8 PM; New Waterlands Park
South Orange Village and North Jersey Pride invite you to a very special outdoor screening of Love, Simon. This romantic comedy shares the story of 17-year-old Simon Spier who hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay.
Join us for this fun, family-friendly LGBTQ film with movie snacks and concessions available for purchase on site at Waterlands Park.
Family Photo Day- June 26 1 - 4 PM; Farrell Field
Come on out to Farrell Field for Pride Month Family Photo Day. You'll enjoy crafts, ice pops and free family photos! Professional photographer Lee Seidenberg will be there to capture your family during Pride Month. You can see some of Lee's work on his website leeseidenbergphotography.com. This is a great opportunity to gather your loved ones, enjoy some fun family time in the park, and leave with a lasting memory of Pride 2021.
Drag Queen Bingo- June 27 1 - 4 PM; Sloan Street Parking Lot
Try your luck at a game of bingo with the fabulous Harmonica Sunbeam, step and repeat to the beat of DJ Redline and enjoy a fun filled day of activities for the whole family.

DPW Events

Metal Pickup- On Tuesday, June 22, DPW will pickup metal recyclables for residents who have prescheduled and paid for this service. There is 6 item limit for this pickup.
Household Bulk Pickup- On Thursday, June 24, DPW will collect household bulk items with the exception of metal and electronics for residents who have prescheduled and paid for this service. There is 6 item limit for this pickup.

SOMA Two Towns for All Ages

SOMA Two Towns for All Ages is holding a community-wide volunteer fair on Saturday, June 26 from 2-4 PM at the Maplewood Memorial Park Amphitheater. Join us to find volunteer opportunities that match your interests. We invite all community organizations - who do so much and make our community great to live in - to join us. Rain Date 6/27.
