The Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement Program reimburses homeowners, who are age 65 or older, or receiving Social Security disability benefits, and who paid property taxes on their principal residence in New Jersey directly or through mobile home park site fees, for property tax increases on their main home. Income eligibility has increased so more people are now eligible. Form PTR-2 is a personalized application that is mailed by the agency to those who filed an application and met all the eligibility requirements for a reimbursement the previous year. Form PTR-2 is not available on their website nor does SOMA Two Towns have copies. If you qualify to use Form PTR-2, and you did not receive a personalized application, call the Property Tax Reimbursement Hotline at 1-800-882-6597 to request that they mail one to you.

South Orange Village Offices, 76 South Orange Avenue, Third Floor. Ask the SOMA Two Towns Office or the tax office for an application. Maplewood Senior Center, 106 Burnett Avenue. Hours vary so please call 973-763-0750 or e-mail soma2towns@gmail.com to pick up an application.
