SOM BASEBALL SPRING LEAGUEIt’s time to register for the spring baseball season. South Orange Maplewood Baseball is affiliated with the National Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Organizations. This program is open to all South Orange and Maplewood children between the ages of 5 and 15 (as of April 30, 2022).

PLAYER EVALUATIONS
All Cal Ripken Minor League, Majors 60, Majors 70 and Babe Ruth candidates must attend player evaluations, even if they played last season. Every player will be assigned to a team based on the results. The purpose is to evaluate players and ensure that teams are competitively balanced.
Evaluations are scheduled as follows:
- March 12 - Time to be determined
- March 13 - Time to be determined
WANTED - YOUTH UMPIRESSOM Baseball offers opportunities to keep older kids involved in baseball and provides leadership learning experiences with our comprehensive youth umpire program. Teens ages 13 and up (as of April 30, 2022) get real-life experience umpiring games for our Minors, Majors, and Babe Ruth divisions.

CURRENT PROGRAMS Get brush up on your baseball/softball skills and learn new ones early by singing up for our pre-season clinics! Each clinic will offer aged based personalized teaching, hitting drills, technique, mindset and more importantly learning what makes the game so fun. The program is broken up into different age groups starting from age 7 - 12 (as of April 30, 2022).
