Public Works Events

Free Firewood- From October 3rd through December 29th the Department of Public Works invites South Orange residents to pick up free firewood at 300 Walton Avenue, please refer to the facility hours for access.

This is on a first come first served basis, firewood will not be held. No appointments necessary.

Test of Emergency Siren & Alert Systems

On Tuesday, October 4 at 11:55 a.m., Seton Hall University will conduct a live test of its emergency siren and PirateAlert systems. If needed, a retest of the systems will take place on Thursday, October 6, at 11:55 a.m.
