SOMA Two Towns for All Ages will be holding a community-wide volunteer fair on Sunday March 26th.  One of our goals as an age friendly community is to find ways for older adults to stay engaged, but it is not only older adults who are looking to volunteer: we have so many residents who are looking to get involved and share their talents and passions.

This includes people new to the area and those with young families.

We are inviting community organizations like yours to be a part of it!

You do so much to enrich the lives of the people you serve and help make our towns a great place to live.

We invite you to join us on:

Sunday, March 26, 2023

1-4pm

The Woodland, Maplewood

Set up would start at 12:00, we will have a table ready for you and bring any information and materials you want to set up and share.

I hope you will join us to show off your organization’s work and find volunteers committed to helping your cause.  Please let me know by February 28 if you intend to participate in the fair, and feel free to pass this invitation on to other organizations you think might be interested.

AARP Tax Preparation

FREE FEDERAL AND STATE INCOME TAXES

ELECTRONICALLY PREPARED AND

FILED BY IRS CERTIFIED VOLUNTEERS

Each taxpayer will be required to have two appointments. At the first

appointment an interview and review of tax documents will be done, and the

documents will be scanned. You will then leave, and your tax return will be

prepared remotely. If any questions arise during the preparation or review,

you will be contacted by telephone. When the tax return is completed, we

will schedule a second appointment with you to come back and receive a

printout of your completed return, review it with you, answer any questions

you may have, and have you sign the final documents, so we can

electronically file the return. Remember, if your filing status is Married Filing

Jointly, both parties must come to sign.

To contact us, you can either send an email to:

TaxAideJC20@gmail.com,or leave a voice message or text at: 551-

258-3319. The telephone number is to an automated service so please tell

us when a good time to reach you by phone would be, and we will call back

with this number.

We can then explain in detail what the new process entails and set up an

appointment for you to do your taxes.
