There is now a single combined application for the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and Stay NJ programs for residents 65 and over, or those collecting Social Security Disability Benefits. The Treasury will determine eligibility and send a letter with the specific benefits applicants qualify for. The filing deadline is October 31.

Now New Jersey residents will be able to file their taxes absolutely free, thanks to IRS Direct File. This program allows residents to file their taxes directly with the government online, so there are never any filing fees. Residents could save hundreds of dollars each tax season.
