Public Works Events
Spring Cleanup- curbside pickup March 31- April 28

  • Branches: 4 inches or smaller in diameter, no roots or stumps will be collected. Tie branches 2" or under into bundles using cord or twine.
  • Leaves: Place leaves, yard clippings, and garden rakings in brown biodegradable paper bags (no plastic) at curb, not in the street or on the sidewalks. Leaves should not be raked into the street. 

Grass Clippings: DPW does not take grass clippings under any circumstances. Contact your landscaper or trash hauler for pickup.

Love My Pup! Love My Park!

The Meadowland Park Conservancy and South Orange Recreation & Cultural Affairs invites all dogs (and their humans!) to join us for the 5th Annual Love My Pup…Love My Park! event on April 5 at 10 AM at Flood's Hill.
This event will offer free photos of pups and their humans, treats, music and coffee, all free.  Plus every pup photographed will have the chance to win prizes from several local businesses.  All who attend are encouraged to bring unopened dog and cat food, which will be donated to a local animal shelter.
