MLK Observance & Volunteer Fair

South Orange Maplewood Community Coalition on Race presents the 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Monday, Jan 21 at 2:00 pm, at Columbia High School. Following the celebration, there will be a Reception and Volunteer Fair at 3:30 pm in the cafeteria. The event is free and open to all. The keynote speaker is the Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey, Sheila Y. Oliver, the first woman of color to serve in statewide elected office in New Jersey history.

Metal Pickup

Tuesday, Jan 22 is Metal Pickup Day for residents who have prescheduled and paid for the service. Residents may bring metal appliances and all-metal items to the Public Works yard during regular operating hours. Pickup requests should be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance and the fee is $75.
