National #DayOfEmpathy

Day of Empathy is a national day of action to generate empathy on a massive scale for millions of Americans impacted by the criminal justice system. The Day of Empathy will share the perspectives of Americans impacted by the current justice system - from survivors of violent crime to those who are addicted to opioids or other drugs and those who mentally ill to incarcerated individuals working to transform themselves, people with a criminal record desperately seeking a second chance, and all community members impacted by crime, public safety, and violence. There will be a free event on Tuesday, March 5 from 1 pm to 3 pm at NAN Newark Tech Center located at 400 Hawthorne Ave in Newark. Please register here. Nature Adventurers - Family Nature Club

Are you worried you or your kids don't spend enough time outside or together? Join us as we harness the power of gaming to get families up and moving while exploring and learning about local nature and conservation. The event will be on Sunday, March 10 starting at 1 pm and lasting up to 2 hours. It is requested that attendees arrive at 12:50 pm at the Berson Education Center lobby. Want to get more involved in your community? Attend a meeting. You will get a first-hand look at all the ins and outs of our town and it is a great way to participate and make a difference in the town.
