Memorial Day service

Memorial Day Service

The annual South Orange Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 27th at 9:00 am near Memorial Rock on the southwest end of the Duck Pond in Meadowland Park.
All are invited to join the Village honoring those who have died in service of our country.

Undercover Music Festival

SIX COVER BANDS. NO COVER CHARGE. The second annual Under Cover Music Fest is back, bigger, and better than before. World-class musicians from the area will cover popular hits from Aretha Franklin, Prince, The Meters, Bill Withers, Dave Matthews Band, and Radiohead. New this year is a large beer garden (cash bar) hosted by The Fox and Falcon, which will serve beer from four local New Jersey breweries, wine, cider, and festival food. This free event will be on Saturday, June 1, 4 to 10 pm on Sloan Street. Rain date will be Sunday, June 2, 3 to 9 pm.

Service Rd Naming

Pool Service Road Naming

Do you know where 210 Mead Street is in South Orange? If you are like many residents of the Village, you are unaware that is the address for the Peter S. Connor Memorial Pool. This address can make emergency response to the pool slightly delayed. We are hoping to remedy this by giving a name to the service road that runs from South Orange Ave. to Mead St. past the community pool, parallel to the Rahway River. We are looking to gather community input on what you think is the perfect name for the road. The name can be creative, historic or just plain fun. We hope to have as many residents as possible give their suggestions in naming South Orange’s newest road.
You can share your ideas here until June 2.
