Grace Period & Delinquency
There is a 10 day grace period granted by the Board of Trustees; after 10 days, taxes are delinquent and interest is charged at the rate of 8% on the first $1,500 and 18% thereafter.
Delinquency means the sum of all taxes and municipal charges due on a given parcel of property covering any number of quarters or years. Delinquent status remains until such time that all of the delinquency has been removed and the property is restored to current status.
Sewer charges are billed on a yearly basis and are due within 30 days of the billing date. Interest is charged at the same rates, 8% and 18%, as taxes.
Water is billed quarterly and is due within 30 days of the billing date. Interest is charged at 8% per annum (2% per quarter).
